The left is fond of fear-mongering the idea of the rise of a theocratic America—Conflating the idea of preserving morality, self control, personal responsibility for ones actions, even proficiency in language and mathematics, with the imposition of oppression. Especially the oppression of women based on Biblical principle.
This mania on the left ignores the fact the freest nations in history for women, have existed in nations where the majority is Christian. Observing the rise of socialism on our campuses and amongst our politicians harboring a genuine hatred for our own nation—The parallels between what is happening here and the historical record of places with true oppression are in stark relief.
Anyone who has done a comprehensive, or even a middling but serious study of socialism, realizes the incongruity of an alliance between Marxist/Communist ideology and any Abrahamic religion. The very idea of say a Democratic Socialist Muslim, like the rising New York politician Zohran Mamdani, stretches all credulity. At least it should.
To be a Marxist Christian, Jew, or Muslim, is to give full reign to cognitive dissonance to a fanatical level—One must clearly give more credence to the philosophy of men ahead of the precepts of the God revealed in the Holy Bible and the god of the Qur’an.
However, the Mamdani’s of the world are not without solid precedence. The Iranian revolution deposing the Shah of Iran in 1979, was driven, in large part, by socialist Muslims in concert with Islamic fundamentalist groups. The playbook is identical to what we see playing out amongst our youth on campuses and with so many young Americans, like the ones propelling the New York Assembly-Man today.
“Why should the Shah be rich and live in a palace while so many Iranians are poor?” Equity, equity, equity. And so it was, going back to the early 20th century, reaching an apex in the late 1970s. You had in Iran (This is not a comprehensive list, there were many more) the Unified Socialist Party (Persia) 1904, Communist Party of Persia 1917.
In the 20s Socialist Party (Iran), Young Communist League of Persia, Revolutionary Republican Party of Iran. The 40s the Comrades Party, the Movement of God-Worshipping Socialists, the United Front of Progressive Parties founded by the communist Tudeh Party and the Iran Party. The Iran Unity Party,
1951 the Toilers Party of the Iranian Nation, 1960s the League of Iranian Socialists, Organization of Iranian People's Fedai Guerrillas, the Organization of Communist Revolutionaries. 1970’s the Maoist Union of Iranian Communists (Sarbedaran), Peykar: Organization of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class, the Movement of Militant Muslims, the Iranian Islamic socialist political group led by Habibollah Payman. The Organization of Working-class Freedom Fighters.
1980s and still in existence we find, the Marxist/Leninist Fedaian Organisation, the Communist Party of Iran. So called Islamic Socialists, Like the “Democratic Socialist Muslim” Zohran Mamdani ushered in the modern regime of Islamic, Sharia law fundamentalist, lead by the Ayatollahs and Mullah’s since 1979.
What Mamdani wants, is freedom as defined by HIS ideology, one ironically alien to the easily manipulated American youth aligning themselves with Hamas and Hezbollah. A youth driven by a mutual hate with terrorist groups for America, fostered by socialist Academics. Everywhere socialism and Islamism take root around the world, they lead to real oppression, not merely “Tales” like the ones penned by Margaret Atwood and hailed by the soft minded across the world.
The American left screams for equity, while sympathizing with peoples and groups who have little regard for personal choice and freedom. Women waving flags in solidarity with Hamas and Palestine, denigrating the action taken in Iran by the current administration—While never dreaming of giving up their inalienable rights to suffer through what women in these places endure and will continue enduring if the status quo is maintained, or if Israel indeed ceases to exist from the “River to the sea” as they are wont to chant.
Where are the Atwoodian Gileads in the world structured on the torturing of Old Testament Scripture? The only such examples extant, are those beginning outside Biblical pretext. It is irrational to fear the fictional red garments of the Handmaid’s Tale, while ignoring the worldwide examples of the very real garments worn by oppressed women under the socialist/Islamist Handmaid’s Truth.
The first act by virtue of which the State really constitutes itself the representative of the whole of society—the taking possession of the means of production in the name of society—this is, at the same time, its last independent act as a State. Ludwig Von Mises wrote ” The goal of liberalism is the peaceful cooperation of all men. It aims at peace among nations too. When there is private ownership of the means of production everywhere and when laws, the tribunals and the administration treat foreigners and citizens on equal terms, it is of little importance where a country's frontiers are drawn.”
This is still the modest operandi of the American left, open borders and control of enterprise—The only problem is these concepts lead not to universal peace, but rather the murder of 100s of millions throughout the 20th century—Endless war and bloodshed as the revolution continues to impose Marxism on a world rejecting it. An endless cycle of violence, poverty, lack of resources and misery.
The creeds of the left are not reconcilable with the Holy God revealed in the Holy Bible, you cannot be both a socialist and Christian. You cannot pretend to be a Jewish Socialist like Bernie Sanders—The left may tolerate you calling yourself a Christian, or Jew while advancing atheistic materialism, they simply call you a “Useful Idiot” behind your back. Meanwhile, with bated breath they patiently wait for the day they grasp ultimate power so they can crush the faith out of you.

The simple reality is, Marxism begins from a pretext of envy, it is plain dealing covetousness—Born of a lack of personal industry, driving malcontents to seize, rather than build. To redistribute rather than contribute. It all comes down to the lazy individuals desire for money, outstripping the drive to earn it for themselves.
Make no mistake, money is the idol of the left, hence the obsession with controlling it. To Paraphrase Orwell—all-are-equal—but-some-are-more-equal-than-others. Certainly the case in the chronicles of history where the intelligentsia overseeing the proletariat live far better than their “Comrades” n'est-ce pas?
On the other hand God in His Holy Text teaches “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24
So it is no wonder we find men like Mamdani echoing the words of their political and philosophical progenitors—When he offhandedly comments on the importance of “Seizing the means of production” In an interview with the Young Democratic Socialists of America in February 2021.
As a Christian, the idea of supporting socialism of any kind, or the likes of Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or the latest cause célèbre Mamdani, is patently absurd, I believe the Bible, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:8
